Standard Cover

  • Cover in the UK only
  • Eligible vehicles: private cars, light vans, estate cars and 4x4 sport utility vehicles
  • Cover is for the vehicle and any nominated driver
  • Roadside Assistance - call out and up to 1 hours labour at the roadside
  • Roadside Repairs - wherever possible we will get your car fixed on the spot to let you continue your journey with the minimum of fuss. There is no charge for the first hours labour, only for parts used
  • Vehicle Recovery - if your car cannot be repaired at the roadside it will be towed to an approved garage free of charge
  • Tow to garage
  • No excesses on this policy
  • Cover for Caravans/Trailers
  • Message Relay - we will pass on two messages to your family, friends or colleagues who may be expecting you

Gold Cover

Roadside Recovery Gold Cover has all the great features that the Standard Policy has, with some fantastic additional benefits.

Extra Benefits

  • Homestart - help can be brought to your door if you can't start your car or need assistance either at home or within a mile of home. Wherever possible we will get your car fixed on the spot or tow it to an approved local garage.
  • Roadside Assistance UK - call out and up to 1 hours labour
  • Onward Transportation - If your car cannot be repaired before the end of a working day we will either; get you and your car home, to a local approved repairer, to your intended destination within the geographical limits; or pay up to £100 for one of the following:
    • Overnight accommodation if you are more than 25 miles from your home
    • Onward transportation by public transport
    • Hire car up to 24 hours
  • Medical Transfer - we will make all the necessary arrangements to transfer you to a hospital nearer home if you become ill when travelling in your vehicle more than 50 miles from home

Cover Whilst Abroad

  • Short trips to Belgium, Channel Isles, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Republic of Ireland for up to 2 days (48 Hours) per trip, within a 100 mile radius of port is automatically included for a maximum of 12 trips per year
  • Pre departure assistance - we will pay up to £1500 for the hire of a replacement vehicle if your trip is threatened as a result of sudden breakdown, fire, theft or accident within 7 days of departure
  • Roadside Recovery - we will pay up to £250 for roadside assistance (labour must not exceed £100) and towing to the nearest suitable repairer
  • Break-in abroad - up to a maximum of £175 for emergency repairs
  • Vehicle out of use - If your vehicle is lost, immobilised or made un-roadworthy during your trip we will pay up to £1500 to transport you by public transport or hire car to your destination or up to £125 for necessary overnight hotel accommodation while you wait to have your vehicle repaired
  • Alternative Driver - if the driver is declared medically unfit to drive
  • Repatriation of car and passengers - if repairs cannot be completed before you intend to return home we will arrange for the vehicle and passengers to be repatriated
  • Caravan Denial of Access
  • Motoring Legal Protection - we will offer telephone advice and up to £1000 for legal defence
  • There are no excesses on this policy
  • Replacement Parts - if you need replacement parts for your vehicle and cannot obtain them locally we will try to find them elsewhere and pay any transit costs to get them to you
